While I appreciate a massive character development for Rulutieh... it didn't felt as impactful, the game did this part better, especially because it shows more of Rulutieh's resolve, past and family bonds... the fight against Shis was also very fun in the game as well.

But yeah, I don't want to say I'm disappointed in this adaptation, but it could have been miles better... at least I'm thankful there's another animated season to be honest, and if anything, the games are still there to enjoy the full experience.

Yea, its honestly abit of wishful thinking to even expect it to be as detailed as the source material lol, but hey a fan can dream right? Adding 10 extra episodes for the side character development (although might still still not be enough) might stress their budget abit too much. Here's hoping they're saving for their next game, Lost Flag was eh.

What is Rulutieh real contribution to the group? She doesn't seem to do anything except emotional support. At least Shis can fight.

I think the issue with Rulutieh is that you don't get to see her contributions in battle as much as the others. She is not as fragile a character as this episode would make you believe.

In the game, she is a Tank type that holds down opponents (it is literally one of her skills that if an opponent comes too close to her, they cannot move away until either she is defeated or she moves first), and that works for her character too.

While Rulutieh as a character is one that is meek and modest when she speaks, when she is given encouragement by other characters (or her bird companion she rides into battle), she shines in a greater light.

The Duel you saw in this episode over Rulutieh was actually a full on fight with your party, Rulutieh INCLUDED. Making this moment a "1-on-1" lessens the impact of the battle in my opinion.

This is all true, the anime completely skips some serious character developments and events from the game, which is why anime-onlis might find weird why X character is relevant to the story and the group.

But what has my curiosity is Anju's doppelganger back in Yamato. And when are we gonna see her and not hidden by a veil of silk coverings.

Man they even cut out the part where Rulutieh's sister falling head over heels for Oshtor/Haku after the fight. After that she always think Oshtor is her future husband

They're lady killers, not going to be surprised if she ended up falling for them.

Kinda bummer that they didn't show the romantic feelings of Shis towards Oshtor in the end. Well at least we got a battle scene albeit the inconsistent quality of the animations ruins the scene.

Kind of a missed opportunity to show of Shis' cuter side. She falls hard for "Oshtor" after this arc. It's kinda endearing in the visual novels.

It feels like they keep making people go on journeys to seem important only to have it all be resolved in some roundabout way. With Kuon leaving from memory loss, it felt like she could've just went home and asked for support from the kingdom of Tuskur. Granted, that was tied into Anju...basically remembering she had god powers. This episode felt pointless because the only conflict was the elder sister rather than Rulutieh's matter of confidence...which was pretty much sorted out between a conversation between her and Haku anyway.
